Vurt's Groundcover for OpenMW

This is Vurts Groundcover patched to work with OpenMW. Everything is included. You do not need the original mod. I did not create these textures or meshes. All I did is add the no collision flag to each of the 40 meshes.


This is what I did to each mesh one by one:

  1. Open NifSkope
  2. open mesh
  3. Click NiNode
  4. Under Block Details (bottom left), Click the + next to ExtraData -> NiS... -> NiStringExtraData
  5. Under Block Details, double click the blank value column next to String Data and type NOC
  6. Save mesh

Usage Notes:

Activate all ESPs, this comes at an FPS cost - how much depends on your system, but the results look very nice. It can sometimes be difficult to check bodies on the ground when there's grass, I found that crouching sometimes helps in these cases.

There are conflicts in the Grazelands: The path leading to Nil-Ruhn has floating grass above it, I need to make a patch to fix this.
